lyrics

The sun will shine on all of us today,
no matter what color, it will heat us all the same.
It will give us light and show us on our way.
And it gives for free asking no one to repay.

Can't we all see that we are part of the same soul?
Things are bigger than we perceive.
Why do we fight about things that don't even matter tomorrow?
This agitation has got to leave.

People willing to kill in the name of god.
Little do they know their minds have been robbed.
We say "they are the devil, oh they must be stopped!"
But they say the same and the water boils in the pot.

How did we come to disagree on fundamental reason?
What caused this mental strain?
"Evil lurks in every part of earth except our sanctuary."
Hah, Nah, the evil's just in your brain.

Now what happens if we get rid of fear -
Take away the wheel by which we're steered?
Visions of hate will blur as our focus veers
till the images of love and oneness become clear.

And those who live with kindness and love will never be alone in sorrow.
We'll be a brotherhood of man.
Free to dream, free to seek, free to be whatever we so desire.
I think, therefore I am.
